On July 17, 2025, the 9th “Maker in Guangdong” New Materials SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals and Award Ceremony was held in Dongguan. Guangzhou Sailong Additive Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sailong Additive) stood out among more than 210 outstanding participating enterprises with its innovative project — Electron Beam 3D Printing Bone Defect Repair System. After fierce competition, the company won the Enterprise Group Excellence Award and is set to be recommended for the provincial semi-finals, showcasing its innovation strength and market potential in the field of additive manufacturing (3D printing) biomedical materials.

The competition was guided by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, organized by the Dongguan Qingda Technology Transfer Center, and specially supported by the Guangdong Branch of the Bank of China. The event focused on the new materials sector, aiming to stimulate innovation vitality among SMEs, drive industrial upgrading, and promote high-quality development of the new materials industry.

This award not only recognizes Sailong Additive’s achievements in full-industry-chain technological breakthroughs of metal additive manufacturing for medical materials, but also serves as a strong driving force for future growth.
