On September 18, 2025, Dr. Andres Gasser, Senior Scientist from Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (Fraunhofer-ILT), along with Dr. Bi Guijun, Chief Scientist for Laser Manufacturing Technology at the Guangdong Academy of Sciences, were invited to visit Saishu Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Saishu Technology") to deliver special reports on cutting-edge technologies and industrial applications in metal additive manufacturing.
Dr. Gasser is one of the principal contributors to the patented invention of Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology and a pioneer in Laser-Directed Energy Deposition technology, with over thirty years of experience in both research and industrial applications in the field of laser manufacturing. The Extreme High-Speed Laser Material Deposition (EHLA) technology, developed under his leadership, has received multiple international awards and has fostered extensive collaborations with numerous internationally renowned companies.
